When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
-John 11:43
THE FIRST INVESTITURE OF THE MOST RIGHT AND HOLY
LAZARUS ORDER OF THE 770
MISSION OF THE ORDER
The Lazarus Order of the 770, hereafter referred to as the Order or 770, is an eternal community of nations and their leaders unified in the common goal of uplifting their souls and their pixels.
THE STRUCTURE OF THE ORDER
THE ARCHS OF LAZARUS
The Order is helmed by three leaders who shall retain their position for so long as they so desire. These three, informally known as the Unblasphemous Trinity, shepherd and guide our Order and the congregants as the Archs.
THE BISHOPS OF LAZARUS
The Bishops of the Order are chosen each month by the congregations. This special election is directly tied to their charitable contributions to the Order, relative to their ability. The top three donating congregations each month, as a percentage of their GDP, are named Bishops for the new month. It is their responsibility to support and embolden the souls of our congregations.
BISHOP-SECRETARY of the ARMORY
The Bishop-Secretary of the Armory (Arms Bishop-Secretary) is selected from the Bishops to lead and orchestrate the administration of our Congregations' physical safety, ensuring the efficient transfer of necessary holy and blessed armaments.
BISHOP-SECRETARY of the STATE
The Bishop-Secretary of the State (State Bishop-Secretary) is selected from the Bishops to assist the Archs as the Chief Ambassador to Un-Formalized Relations. This individual is responsible for ensuring regular and timely updates from the Order are conveyed to our indirect friends who have not formalized a relationship through the Archs.
BISHOP-SECRETARY of the TREASURY
The Bishop-Secretary of the Treasury (Treasurer Bishop-Secretary) is selected from the Bishops to lead and orchestrate the administration of our Congregations' financial welfare, ensuring that all charitable giving reaches the needy areas of our flock with all reasonable expediency.
REVEREND-DIRECTOR of the ADMINISTRATION
The Reverend-Director of the Administration (Rev. Director) is appointed by the Archs to the equivalent level of Bishop, when needed, and serves as an as-needed support official of the Order. While the Rev. Director is not a Bishop, they hold the same equivalent rank within the Order.
THE PRIESTS AND CONGREGATIONS OF LAZARUS
Any leader may pledge their nation, as a congregation, to the Order and its Service. There are no costs to join, and no financial obligations for membership. While we do actively encourage, and accept, offerings for the poor, we respect and honour our Priests to take charge of their respective congregations without interference.
POLICY AND RELATIONS WITH OTHER FAITHS
FORCED BAPTISM
Each Priest is responsible for ensuring that adherents to the Faith are treated appropriately. The Order makes no distinction as to what that appropriateness is, and instead requires the Priests to take spiritual guidance. If a Priest feels that a wickedness can be cured by a forcible baptism, they are well within their rights to declare their savior. The Order will not interfere, except for when we feel it is in our best interests.
ENGAGING WITH OTHER AGENTS OF FAITH
From time to time, the Archs, with the support of the Bishops and Priests, may choose to formalize a relationship with other entities, agencies, polities, or existences. The Archs have the final authority on all matters, and their consultation with the Bishops and Priests is strictly a courtesy.
ALMS FOR THE POOR
The Bishops and Archs shall, from time to time, bestow the blessings which we have received upon those we deem less fortunate. This can be in the form of supporting their acquisition of new holy land, sowing the seed for a new harvest, or any other effort as deemed appropriate and right. These blessings are chiefly derived from the Offerings to the Poor which the Bishops and Candidates for Bishops convey to the Order.
SECRECY IS NOT GODLY
The Lord wants all to know Him, and Trust in Him. We cannot follow Him and countenance secrecy and secret keeping as an Order. For that reason, any Priest may share anything they may learn with any person, both within and outside of the Order, without fear or reprisal from the Order. The Archs may, from time to time, delay the distribution of information for the furtherance of His purposes.
THE GUS PROTOCOL
The Gus Protocol is tacitly blessed by the Vatican. Throughout history, it has served as a sound theological basis for many incursions and defences of the pious. This protocol informs many of the decisions that the Archs make when ensuring the salvation of our flock. Here, in all its divine glory:
You hit us, only God might have mercy on you, for we will not. Mercy, you see, is the exclusive domain of the Lord. We would never presume the arrogance of claiming that power for ourselves. The Order is a journey to good fortune, and what better fortune than our facilitation of your journey to the gates and your maker?
PROPERTY AND ASSETS OF THE ORDER
All assets and properties of the Order are at the full disposal of the Archs. It is their responsibility to ensure the safeguarding of our various funds which we may use to benefit the Poor. We also may, from time to time, hold other non-monetary properties, such as commodities or other goods, as well as various other assets in different forms. Disclosure of these assets is at the sole discretion of the Archs.
ADMISSION TO THE ORDER
All Leaders are welcome and invited to salvation in the arms of the Order. Due to our policy on personal accountability and responsibility, there is very limited screening of potential new Priests and Congregations. Further, we strongly encourage all Priests and their Congregations to compete and campaign for the Offices of Bishops of the Order. Our unique structure allows for plenty of opportunity for self advancement.
STANDARD OF THE ORDER
REGULAR AND ANIMATED FLAGS
The Flag of the Order represents that there are many paths to the Cross and to our Savior. There are easier roads and more difficult, less perfect roads. All roads, ultimately, lead to Him. The green represents the pastures that our flocks graze in; the white represents the goodness of our path; and the red represents the blood shed, both by Jesus, the many martyrs, and those who would do our Order destruction. To honor and praise His majestic Holiness, the Order has commissioned an animated version of our Flag. This version may be used in place of the non-animated one, except where explicitly restricted by the Archs.
